Assuming that LAME is available in one of the repositories listed in /etc/apt/sources.list, you can install LAME with the following command:

<pre>sudo apt-get install lame libmp3lame0 </pre> ~~You will be asked for your user password. LAME will then download and install.~~ ~~Some Linux systems do not use sudo. In that case, enter these three commands:~~ ~~<pre>su apt-get install lame libmp3lame0 exit </pre>~~ <br>
